Three years ago I heard this scripture as I listened to the word of God and something stirred within me, my heart sank… My thought was:
“God, are you telling me that things are going to get worse?”
Indeed He was… what followed proved to be one of the most difficult years of our lives, and yet, this was not the only scripture He gave me….
In a moment of prayer, the words:
“And the PEACE of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus”
Philippians 4:7
He was true to His Word. Through the challenges, the uncertainty, the heartache, pain, betrayal and loss, I look back and I am grateful for God’s PEACE, His LOVE, MERCY, GRACE, PROVISION, COMFORT and FAITHFULNESS.
Life is no fairytale, but when Jesus is your constant companion, it is the most incredible journey, and you can look forward to each day, simply because you know that Jesus will be in it
